Basketball is my life, it always has been; but there’s one thing about the NBA I care not for. The NBA All Star Weekend.
Everything about this weekend is disrespectful to the sport. No player takes the All Star Game seriously, because they know the game effectively means nothing.
It’s all about acting and presentation; something that basketball has never been.
This latest Dunk Competition is just another factor influencing my argument. Advertised on the NBA Homepage as ‘Blake Griffin jumps a car in Dunk Contest’.
No NBA he did not jump over a car. For the following reasons:
1). He only flew over the bonnet of the car.
2). He landed ON the car.
This advertisement just sums up how fake and pathetic the entire NBA All Star Weekend is.
